The company was began in 1998 when Judy Bogner and Mary Gilpin decided to put their love of historic homes to the test. "We knew that dealing in homes with a heritage would be more challenging. We had previously been affiliated as Realtors with nationally franchised real estate firms and knew that marketing older properties took more time and expertise than dealing with newer houses. We also knew we loved the charming older homes and were passionate about preserving them for future generations."

They met the test and surpassed the expectations. With the addition of agents who shared the same ideals, the business has flourished.

In 2001, Bill and Mary Nordman acquired the company and hope to continue the same impressive results.

Our real estate consultants are affiliated with and are actively involved in several regional and national preservation societies, such as The National Trust, Preservation of Historic Winchester, Clarke County Historic Society, Winchester/Frederick County Historic Society, and Heritage Foundations in Middletown and Strasburg, the Strasburg Museum and the Shenandoah County Historical Society.

Membership and leadership in historical and preservation organizations has served to not only increase our knowledge, but to confirm personal commitments to protecting and extending the provenance of older structures and properties. We appreciate the quality of materials and craftsmanship that went into these properties. These homes reflect a more tranquil time and provide a direct connection to our past. Preserving the past and our heritage is essential.
